Strathfield Hotel - Sydney

I had a great experience , especially considering the value for just $220 for two nights! The room was comfortable and clean, and the location was super convenient-right across from the train station, yet surprisingly quiet, and the staff were friendly and helpful.

The breakfast menu could benefit from more variety in options for kids.

We had a very enjoyable stay that met standard, would like to stay there on the next trip. Thoroughly enjoyed Sydney, the hotel was lovely old close to transport which is a great advantage. Our room was well-organised and complete with a fairly clean bathroom.

I had a pretty decent weekend stay! The location was super convenient, right across from the train station, making it easy to hop on public transport. My room was clean and quiet, which was a big plus after a long day out. I also enjoyed the frothy beer on tap during dinner-it really hit the spot!

Check-in was a bit of a mess and took longer than expected. Plus, the building could really use some maintenance; I noticed loose taps in the bathroom, and the creaks from the old structure were a little distracting.

The location next to the train station was convenient, and there were great food options nearby. The beds were comfy, and while the rooms were a bit dated, they were reasonably sized. We enjoyed visiting landmarks like Sydney Olympic Park and Burwood Park, which provided fun bonding opportunities for the kids.

My recent getaway to this charming hotel was everything I hoped for, providing a perfect escape from Newcastle. The staff warmly welcomed me despite my early arrival and ensured a smooth check-in. The bed was impressively spacious and comfortable, while the shared facilities were always spotless. Located centrally, I had easy access to shops, restaurants, and even a nearby train station. I particularly enjoyed the delicious food and the friendly bar staff, who genuinely enhanced my experience with their hospitality.

I had eagerly anticipated my visit to Lake Belvedere, choosing Strathfield for its convenient location just a short drive away. I was pleasantly surprised by the complimentary wireless Internet access, which allowed me to stay connected during my trip. After a day of exploring, I enjoyed a refreshing drink at one of the 2 bars/lounges; the atmosphere was welcoming, and the staff were friendly. Having a private bathroom was a major plus, and the fresh air from my top-floor window was good.
